Place your SE/30 face down on a soft cloth. Remove four (4) torx screws with torx screwdriver as indicated by the arrows below. Carefully remove back of case by lifting upwards.

Step 3:

Remove heat shield from bottom of computer.

Step 4:

Remove expansion port cover from back of computer case. Push with fingers from the inside.

Step 5:

Mount daughter card (small card with ethernet ports) in chassis bay. Take note of cable orientation in picture below (blue side of cable is installed closest to ethernet ports.) Daughter card is mounted securely to SE/30 chassis with screws provided.

Step 6:

Attach cable to main board as noted in picture below (blue side of cable towards rear of main card.)

Step7:

Carefully lower main card onto motherboard PDS socket. Push carefully but firmly into slot. The picture below shows correct seating of card.

Step 8:

Here is the Asante MacCon RJ45 ethernet correctly installed. Check that all connections are snug and secure (also check SCSI HD cable, floppy cable and power cable to motherboard). ** IMPORTANT** Take note of shock hazards when working near monitor connections!

Step 9:

Replace heat shield, computer case and programmer/reset switch. Your ethernet setup is now installed!
